About the DCR Verification Portal

Ensuring Transparency
in Solar PV Supply Chain

The DCR Verification Portal is developed by the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. The portal ensures end-to-end traceability of domestically manufactured solar PV cells and modules, enabling verification of Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) compliance across all government-supported solar energy schemes.

DCR stands for Domestic Content Requirement. It is a policy mandate by MNRE that requires solar PV modules used in certain government-supported projects and schemes to be manufactured using domestically produced solar cells and modules. This ensures the growth of India's domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.

All Solar Cell Manufacturers, Solar Module Manufacturers, Resellers, EPC Companies, and RE Power Project Developers who are involved in the supply chain of DCR-compliant solar PV modules need to register. Government agencies and DISCOMs can also use the portal for verification purposes.

You can verify a DCR Certificate by clicking on the "Verify DCR Certificate / Module" link in the top navigation menu. Enter the certificate number or scan the QR code on the certificate to instantly verify its authenticity and view module details.

ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) is maintained by MNRE and lists all approved solar PV module models and their manufacturers. Only modules listed on ALMM are eligible for government-supported solar projects. The DCR portal helps verify that modules are both ALMM-listed and manufactured using domestically produced cells.
